Shepherds Washed

Xmas day! We, Eileen, housemate, James and I go to Corona Heights Park https://sfrecpark.org/facilities/facility/details/coronaheightspark-328. while the huge duck is cooking. It is close to our place and famous for wonderful views over the city and, as only James knows, lots of Cepes, French, or Bolets, English.

Eileen, James and San Francisco.

We find lots!

James is wonderfully skilled at finding mushrooms. He finds many large cepes of which we plunder 3 big ones.

Look at those cepes! Lucky you getting those for a Christmas meal. Definitely not the season here for those. I’m fascinated by the way the duck was cooked – all in one piece, neck and head still attached. Never seen that done before! Who got to chew the neck? I grabbed the neck when the turkey was cooked! What about the pudding and the cake – did you have any?

    Looks like you had fun.
