So the greatest thing about going to foreign parts is that you see new birds. One of the tedious factors of advancing age is that you have been there seen that before. New experience becomes rarer. A colonoscopy is fun because you have never done it before. This is why birdwatching is glorious. You go to a different country,  you walk out of the hotel door to a bombardment of new experience. I get up at dawn this morning and see 6 new species before breakfast.
