Cherry Garrard did something similar to collect Emperor Penguin eggs.  The motor pushes the boat along very nicely and soon I am approaching the Cape.

I find the secret nesting sites.

The coast line is very rugged as it is frequently lashed by mega typhoons. Have a look at this. The waves were breaking over the lighthouse!
