As I cycled to work this morning I was struck, not physically, by this sign.

This afternoon I had to go to Naha, which meant that I could slink off to the stinking pond where the big-boy birds hang out.

Black Faced Spoonbill, endangered species, tries to catch a fish.

So these Spoonbills are big muscular birds but it does not seem to have done them much good.
